NSW Net Zero Planning Grant, Round 2
If your business spends $200,000 or more a year on energy at a NSW site, this grant can cover up to half the cost of a consultant to plan your path to net zero.
What it can cover
It's up to $25,000, for up to 50% of a specialist consultant's fees at market rates.
The work can include a greenhouse gas inventory, a net zero action plan or net zero targets.
Applications close at 5pm AEDT on Monday 30 November 2026, or earlier if the money runs out. Each is assessed as it arrives, not against other applications, so don't leave it late.
Who can apply
- You have an ABN and are registered for GST.
- You have a NSW site address and business operations in NSW.
- You spend at least $200,000 a year on energy at one NSW site, or $500,000 across several NSW sites. All purchased fuels count.
You'll need copies of your energy bills, but not a consultant yet: you can engage one after the funding deed is signed.
Who it isn't for
- Businesses that have had this grant before or are getting it this round, including through a related entity.
- Safeguard facilities, and Group 1 reporting entities that must prepare a sustainability report under the Corporations Act.
- Government entities, and work other NSW Government funding covers.
- Work you've already contracted or started with a consultant before you apply.
- Consultant fees paid, even as a deposit, before the funding deed is signed.
It also won't cover capital spending, equipment or technology assessments, carbon offsets or your staff's time.
